Vans x Mammoth Road Trip - LoFi Summer

One of the sponsored athletes on the Vans Bike team pitched a road trip lifestyle project to the social team to fund a 4 day trip to the mountains with skatepark riding pit stops along the way.
Unsupervised projects like these really lend themselves to collecting the magic moments that happen on these unplanned trips with friends. We created mostly still images with timely seasonal product integration for immediate use and longer term brand building images showcasing the raw talent meeting raw land. Later on we used environment and texture images from this shoot for the Vans MTE line of hiking shoes. This was my firs time to Mammoth in the summer and it's now at the top of my list for long summer weekends. Thanks to Sean Ricany and Trey Jones for making it fun and creative.
